New products. New Story. New home.
We are proud to unveil our new London showroom at the contemporary Tiller & Lock development, 250 City Road. The space — designed and shaped in partnership with Carter Owers Studio and Studio Rhonda — was launched as part of Clerkenwell Design Week, May 2025.
A Creative Collaboration.
The Orangebox internal design team worked closely with the renowned Carter Owers Studio throughout to shape a space that invites exploration and supports real-world problem-solving. The result is a showroom that is fully immersive in high-performance environment that embodies the heart of the Orangebox brand: designing for people-centric workplaces.
The layout allows clients, designers, and thinkers to interact with Orangebox furniture in context — testing combinations, sketching ideas and co-creating future-ready environments.
A Hybrid Development.
The new site is part of Tiller & Lock, a Foster & Partners-designed, 1.2 million sq. ft mixed-use development in the heart of ‘Tech City’.
It includes office, residential, retail, leisure and dining spaces, with a strong focus on sustainability. The building has achieved:
The Materials Workshop.
At the centre of the showroom is The Materials Workshop, a hands-on space where clients can experiment with fabrics, finishes, and floorplans in real time — collaborating directly with Orangebox teams to adapt products and plan spaces.
Our commitment to circular design, and local manufacturing.
This focus on environmental performance extends into the showroom fit-out. Over half the products in the space are reconditioned pieces from Orangebox’s existing range, refurbished at the company’s South Wales factory through its in-house ReMade programme. This reuse-first approach is estimated to reduce CO₂e emissions from the showroom’s installation by around 10 tonnes.
Shaping tomorrow’s workplaces.
The move to 250 City Road marks a new chapter for Orangebox. The showroom is embedded in a development where work, community and leisure sit side by side, mirroring the hybrid nature of contemporary work. It is both a functional studio and a practical expression of the company’s long-standing design values: human-centred, sustainable, and made to last.
